14 Jun Camouflage…
Lately, I have been obsessed with collaborating with as many people as I can on my posts. The most intriguing part is appreciating different personal styles and opinions on fashion. Not only have I grown style wise, but learned the value of respect, patience and professionalism. For today’s post I collaborated with Grace, the author behind UniqUrban. Her crisp and clean writing, jazzy personality and impeccable style are just but a few reasons that make me her regular reader.
The idea behind this post was to blend our outfits with the background i.e camouflage! We designed a pair of culottes for Grace, and a cropped top for me using the same material. This being my first time using African material, the wide array surprised me! I was impressed by all the designs and colors, but this particular piece was the most unique. Although the combination of the culottes and cropped top was out of this world, we each picked a white item to break the monotony and avoid being swallowed by the material. Grace went with a classy white cropped top with a slight v-neck to add a little edge. I matched my cropped top with this beautiful, semi- sheer skirt that I was lucky enough to stumble upon while thrifting. Together we created a magical color burst, which oozed style and creativity.
